Before your final inspection
To help your bond refund along, hand the property back clean and presentable. We are happy to recommend cleaning services, just ask our team for their details.
Important
Keep the electricity connected for the vacating inspection so it can be carried out efficiently.
After the inspection, if anything is outstanding you will have 24 hours to address it before our office arranges the relevant contractor, at your expense.
Vacate cleaning checklist
This checklist is based on your property’s original condition report. Ask us for a copy if you need one. Aim to return the property in its original condition, allowing for fair wear and tear.
General property
- Windows: clean and streak-free
- Walls: free of all marks
- Carpets: clean and free of stains
- Curtains: washed and rehung in place
- Blinds: dust-free and clean
- No belongings left behind
- Light fittings: working, clean, dust-free
- All vents: clean and dust-free
Kitchen
- Stove: clean and grease-free
- Extractor fan / range hood: clean
- Cupboards: cleaned inside and out
- Tiles, splashback and benchtops: clean
- Appliances: cleaned inside and out
Bathroom
- Mould: removed from all surfaces
- Vanity and basin: cleaned inside and out
- Toilet: thoroughly cleaned
- Bath: thoroughly cleaned
- Shower: thoroughly cleaned
- Exhaust fans: cleaned and dust-free
Furnished properties
- Cutlery and kitchen items: cleaned
- All furnishings: cleaned
- All appliances: cleaned
- Linen and bedding: cleaned
